Component InterTechnologies, Inc. (CIT) is a diversified multi-plant manufacturing company specializing in the production of precision welded leadwires, welded resistor elements, wireforms, glass tube and rod cutting and leadwire welding equipment serving the automotive, instrumentation, industrial, electronics and lighting industries, as well as precision cleaning of glass and metal components.
CIT is located in Hadley, Pennsylvania, about a two-hour drive North of Pittsburgh, close to the intersection of I-79 and I-80. (Major interstate routes connecting the East and West coasts and our North and South borders.)
Our sister plant is located in Abbeyfeale, County Limerick, Republic of Ireland.
CIT Hadley is situated on a 12 acre site and occupies approximately 46,000 square feet of floor space
CIT began in 1956 as Glass Tite Industries (GTI), helping solve the critical volume production problems of sealing glass to metal for the infant semiconductor industry.
In 1995, the Hadley and Ireland Plants were purchased and renamed Component InterTechnologies Inc. (CIT).
Over the years, CIT has expanded to provide its customers with a full line of precision cold formed parts, welded assemblies, glass products, leadwire welding equipment and precision cleaning of glass and metal components. Using these core competencies as a springboard, CIT has become a provider of application solutions for numerous industries and technologies worldwide.
Active interaction between CIT and its customers was a key ingredient to our early success, and has continued ever since. In conjunction and cooperation with customers, CIT produces components and develops processes to serve the needs of today’s emerging markets. CIT uses the latest manufacturing technologies to meet the new requirements and changing demands of its customers.
Both factories are ISO 9001:2000 certified. In addition, CIT employs the use of statistical process control networked throughout its manufacturing area and statistical techniques for continuous improvement.
